If you enter into a tenancy agreement with a local authority or a housing association you will be given a Scottish Secure Tenancy. A Scottish Secure Tenancy will give you significantly more rights than those in a privately rented accommodation.
A tenancy agreement is a written contract between you and your landlord. A tenancy agreement gives you and your landlord different rights, for example, your right to live in a house and the your landlord’s right to receive rent for letting the accommodation.
