Following your college or university on social media is a great way to keep up to date with social events. Have a look on your student union’s website to find out details of their freshers week. You can expect to find freshers events running in August for Colleges and September for Universities.

Sometimes when starting a new job or changing jobs your tax code might change and you may find yourself paying too much tax or too little in taxes. Use this site to check that your tax code is correct or if you think you have paid too much tax you can claim a rebate.

Independent Living Fund

The Independent Living Fund is funding available to young people who have a disability or impairment. This money can be used to for a variety of things, like attending art or sports clubs – even driving lessons! Check out their website for more details on eligibility and the application process,

Online Counselling Service

If you feel that you are really struggling with your mental health it is important to know that there is always someone there to help. It can help sometimes to speak with someone close to you, like friends or family. Your GP can also help you access further support with Mental Health.
